Some comments from previous workshops:

"Well paced chunks of learning and information. I have never been to a seminar where I was so well looked after and able to just focus on what I was there for. Thanks” - Corinne Vincent

"It gave me a really great insight into human behaviour and a better understanding of myself. I believe if we set our mind to doing ANYTHING we can. Dale's "Wise women at sea workshop” reminded me that indeed it is so. EXCELLENT Dale thank you” - Lyn Harden

"I thoroughly enjoyed the course and found it very worthwhile. It did prepare me for a different lifestyle aboard without having to learn the hard way” - Wilma Ham

"It was so wonderful to meet & be at ease with some kindred female sailing spirits. The course was expertly run by Dale, she was so inspiring, such a psychologically supportive environment. And FUN. Good scientifi c information, very organized course, a special opportunity to make some real friends, it perked me up immensely. Good sea tales, lots of laughing, totally terrific weekend” - Charlotte Townsend

"I flew from Hong Kong to attend this course; full of expectation I was not disappointed. It was well run in a relaxed manner, I felt secure, enjoyed it immensely and went on to put the newly acquired knowledge into practice, completing a voyage from Hong Kong to Auckland. I highly recommend it” - Annie Fromow

Content

Participants will learn about the behavioural and psychological patterns that we experience at sea. By being able to recognize and understand our own patterns and the elements of the group or situation in which we find ourselves, we have the opportunity to change, control or alter them

We sail with body and mind. We do not function on a vessel in a purely physical capacity. Life on the ocean waves affects our entire being, both behaviour and personality

The course provides information on how to enjoy the passage and grow from the experience

The following guest speakers will provide information and answer questions on these topics:

Nautical Clothing Requirements
Terry Gardiner
The Gear Locker

Staying on Board
Ross Allan
RFD New Zealand Limited

Preparing Stores
