Cruising Preparation School

Do you own a boat? Are you going to own a boat? Do you want to Crew? Then this is the School for you.

The recommendations and ideas you will share, in these two days, are based upon the accumulated knowledge gleaned from 40 odd years of "Mucking about in boats" and having sailed well over 70,000 miles around NZ and the South Pacific islands.

Passage Making Seminar

In two days, you will be better prepared to handle your boat and equipment, yourself and your crew, weather and sea conditions, while improving safety, comfort and enjoyment, giving you first hand information on Tonga, Fiji, Vanuatu & New Caledonia.
Dates: Saturday 14th. & Sunday 15th. March 2009
Time: 0900 to 1630 each day
Place: Marine Industry Assn. Building, Westhaven, Auckland.

On The Water 2009 - Cruising Preparation

Date: any two days to suit two couples
Place: Opua and the Bay of Islands.
Acommodation for up to 4 people can be arranged.
These "On the Water" schools have a top limit of 4 people and ICA reserve the right to cancel if less than 3 people attend.

In the water Liferaft Experience

Here we receive instruction from an expert and then get in the water at a swimming pool, with all our wet weather gear on and experience the emergencies involved in taking to the life raft.
